Medifacials

Facials have become quite commonplace today as most salons offer them as a service. No matter what salon you visit, you will be spoilt for choices as they come in different plans and packs such as gold, diamond, fruit, pearl, oxy, to name a few. But here is the harsh reality – though all these facials give an instant glow to your skin, it doesn’t last long. This is because it only pampers the skin and doesn’t improve it.

The best way to improve your skin and have a smooth and glowing texture for a longer period is by opting for a Medifacial. A Medifacial is performed by a dermatologist who understands your skin well and treats it the way it has to be treated.

What are Medifacials?

Medifacials are medical-grade facials that deeply cleans, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin. The ingredients used in the treatment are totally skin-friendly and have been widely tested on all types of skins. They work on the deep layer of skin and boost the collagen build-up, resulting in a fresh and youthful look.

In this procedure, we first cleanse the skin with non-irritating cleaners to remove any dust or makeup. We then use a specialized machine to remove the dead skin cells from the epidermis. In parallel, we will hydrate the skin through a special cosmeceutical such as Vitamin C or Hyaluronic Acid.

Your skin will then be massaged with a soothing cream to heal any irritated parts. Then we use a chemical peel followed by an oxy-jet to push the effectiveness of the peel to the deepest part of the skin. Lastly, the face is cleansed again, and a face mask is applied to re-energize the skin even further.

What to expect after a Medifacial?

The results of Medifacials are long-lasting. However, post the Medifacial treatment, you need to take utmost care of your skin.

The procedure doesn’t have any downtime. You can continue with your routine right after the treatment. The standard duration of a Medifacial procedure is 45 to 90 minutes. It will take around two to three days for the skin to hydrate and appear supple and nearly 30 to 45 days for the cells to completely regenerate.

After the Medifacial, you can have redness, which is quite common. But it will subside in a couple of hours or maximum in a day. If Medifacial is done to treat dullness in your skin, then you may experience a rosy glow on your skin. This is expected and is a testimony that our treatment is successful. The color is a result of oxygen and nutrients being delivered to your skin in the right quantity.

Some might even experience breakouts. This is again totally normal as the skin removes toxic waste in the form of acne or pimples to produce clear skin later.
